Who are we?
Keel was founded by Lucy Farmborough
From OUr FOUNDER

I created Keel to fulfil what I felt was an unmet need:

Where to find the right professional support amid the vissicitudes and complexities of life?

I envisioned Keel as the essential link – a beacon of trust, providing guidance, support, and counsel. Empowering individuals by presenting paths, options, and professionals tailored to their unique needs.

My mission is to deeply understand your story, celebrate your uniqueness, and assist in your journey towards healing and growth, helping you reach your fullest potential.

We help people understand their true value and identify their unique gifts.
In doing so, we aim to facilitate meaningful change.

360 Approach

We work from a multi-modal approach and look beyond symptoms. We seek to understand the biological, psychological, social and spiritual factors which might be impacting our mental and physical health.

Evolutionary Biology

Human connections and relationships founded in feelings of safety, provide the bedrock to our mental health and fitness. Polyvagal Theory’s revolutionary map of the nervous system explains these underlying mechanisms for our behaviour and feelings.

Human Givens

We all have innate physical and emotional needs. The extent to which these needs are being met determines our levels of wellbeing and mental health.

Emotional Health and Regulation

Our emotional health at 16 predicts levels of life satisfaction in adulthood, over and above all academic qualifications up to PhD level. Acceptance, self-compassion, reframing and mindful awareness are some of the evidenced based strategies known to improve our emotional regulation.

Trauma and its Legacy

Traumatic experiences get laid down in our minds and bodies, impacting our mental and physical health. Healing trauma requires specialist treatment with sensory motor therapies that work with the neurobiological connections between mind and body.

Coaching and Healing Identities

We use specialist coaching to lift the focus of attention onto strengths, successes and future possibilities. By leaving behind mistakes and failure, and removing judgement, blame and self-limiting beliefs, we can begin healing our identities.

Humanistic Approach to
Human Potential

By focusing on the whole person and celebrating the uniqueness of every individual, we help people to recognise their true value, and work towards growth, expansion and self-actualisation.

Psychoeducational Goals

We know that learning, insight and understanding of mental health conditions – their causes, symptoms and available treatments – improves outcomes. Psychoeducation is an empowering process of personal development and is a recognised part of the therapeutic process.
